As a teacher, I have the perfect schedule for raising children. With summers and school vacation off and a work day that ends at 3pm, I will not have to rely on day care once my child is in school. Living in the community in which I work ensures that I am never more than 10 minutes from home.
Brittany was one of my first students. She struggled through high school math (making sure she had me for 3 of the 4 years because she thought she couldn't learn from anyone else). This is her college graduation picture. We've remained friends after she graduated.
I work with great people. Our Halloween costume one year was pumpkin pi. Although I must admit that the stalk was incredibly uncomfortable!
